handmade design in riven, wild Irish ash
Concept
One inch European ash dowel pierces through two legs of riven wild Irish ash. Forming a solid triangular base the dowel reaches for the sky. The pendulum lamp is clasped in the ash peg and hangs its head downwards.
Materials
The lamp is handmade in European kiln dried ash and green, riven, wild Irish ash. The green legs clamp around the dowel as they dry out. No screws or glue are used in its structure.
The sustainably sourced European ash is machined locally. The green wild Irish ash is sourced from Co. Wicklow. These trees are either windblown or have reached their end of life and need to be taken down. The lamp is finished with a hardwearing, natural, hand rubbed oil.
