Concept
Two riven triangular prisms are created from a round log of wild Irish ash. The froe (riving axe) follows the structure of the tree to create a unique vase each time.
A one inch hole is drilled in each piece to receive a six inch long glass test tube for holding water.
Materials
The riven prisms are scorched using a blow torch and they are finished with three coats of a natural, hand rubbed oil to give a luxurious finish.
